Jimboy Cantila

Hey there, I'm Jimboy B. Cantila, a graduate of Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering. Although I earned my degree in IE, my heart was always set on a different path—I've always dreamt of becoming a Programmer.

Back in 2013, I stumbled into the world of programming with Python. Since then, I've had the privilege of exploring various languages like JavaScript, Rust, and Dart for Flutter, each one teaching me something new along the way.

After earning my degree in 2016, I found myself back in the familiar halls of my alma mater, this time as a part-time instructor teaching CAD subjects. It was a humbling experience, to say the least, and over time, I transitioned into temporary faculty roles in Industrial Engineering. Alongside teaching traditional IE courses, I found joy in sharing my limited knowledge of programming-related subjects, from the basics of Computer Fundamentals to tinkering with Arduino, ESP, and Raspberry Pi.

When I'm not lost in the world of coding, I'm just a regular guy who enjoys a good challenge—whether it's solving a Rubik's Cube, getting lost in the strategies of online chess, or immersing myself in the world of competitive gaming, especially in Mobile Legends.

These courses provided students with a holistic understanding of both the theoretical concepts and practical applications, fostering their growth and proficiency in these fields.
